Third time's a charm.

The old house in the block behind ours, empty for so long, is now being pulled apart.

It was such a great old house, full of character. It's beaten the odds twice since I've started this blog. The first time here. Then again here. This time there was no notice of intent so nobody saw it coming.

See also A-M's post about it from yesterday here.

This blog makes me so excited about my possible 5 month study stint in Brisbane next year. A dream of mine is to one day buy an old queenslander and do it up to look how it would have originally :)
Great blog, amazing photos

I love Australia. But I struggle a lot when it comes to the way that old things get discarded for the convinience of new things. It takes away the modern history that Australia has so little of already. Such a shame.

I ran past it again this morning. So sad. Lovely to meet you though! We are neighbours practically! I am down near the rowing sheds. A-M xx

Well, it's not exactly Shangrila --hopefully, whatever may replace it will not be worse --

I am so sad that this house has finally succumbed too. Can't be long till the one next to it goes.

Cue uninspiring concrete, steel and glass montrosity with a skillion roof in 3-2-...
