The Great Brisbane Bike Ride

It's been Bike Week in Brisbane. A week celebrating all things bikey, culminating in several rides happening today. Thousands are expected to take part and, conveniently for me, three of the four rides today pass by my front gate so I didn't have to go too far out of my way.

This is part of the Shadow Shot Sunday series, hosted by Hey Harriet.

Hide And Seek

It always makes me laugh when the hiders get bored of hiding and volunteer their whereabouts.

Winter Shadows

This one was taken by my 6 year old. Chip off the old block!

Everybody Zorba!

Yesterday and today see Musgrave Park in South Brisbane transform into the home of the long- awaited Paniyiri, Brisbane's Greek festival. More honey-puffs, moussaka, souvlaki and Mythos that you can throw a plate at. And to work off all that food and drink? Mass Zorba dancing! Hurray!
They eventually made an inner circle for the poor kids!

I'm taking part in Shadow Shot Sunday today, an initiative by fellow Brisbane blogger, Hey Harriet. Check out other shadows posted on her blog today here.

William Jolly Bridge Shadow

This is the William Jolly bridge. It's a beautiful cream coloured Art Deco bridge that glows in the sunshine and is lit up with big lights from the riverbank at night. I have posted a view from it here and a view underneath it here but I really haven't given it the attention it deserves. Another view tomorrow!

I'm taking part in Shadow Shot Sunday today for the first time. Thanks to Hey Harriet for the inspiration.
