VIET

If you stand in the doorway of the Gallery of Modern Art with your back to the gallery and look right, you see this. Naturally I thought it was to do with the gallery and looked it up on their website but couldn't find anything. I did a Google search for Viet and Scrabble Tile Art but still nothing came up. I called the gallery and they say it has nothing to do with them at all and they think it's a piece of street art. I have seen the graffiti tag "Viet" around West End in spray paint but this is something new.

It is an incredibly satisfying shape, but then I adore Scrabble. I am out of the way of memes at the moment, but Jim and Mark and Nick have all entered the Signs Signs meme today. If you have time you shoud give this one a burl too.

Something to do with "Wordfeud"?
The popular I-phone/I-pad scrabble play. Is a hit in the Netherlands and many other countries I heard.

No idea what VIET means and eventhough 7 points is a low score in scrabble, I love it!

Pretty sophisticated street art. Never heard of Wordfeud.

Love that! Especially that it's a mystery. I hope 'they' (the faceless bureaucrats) leave it there. Brisbane needs more good street art.

A big scrabble game going on? Nice detective work too.

Is it the postcode?

Mark - close! 4101... shame they don't have any letters with 0 value...

At first, I thought it might have been a sign for a Vietnamese restaurant.

I always wondered about this when I was living near the GOMA. A little while back there was also 'VIET' written/ built out of a deck of cards against the side of Sling Bar in west end. At the moment it is written /made out of a toy racing car track (with toy cars) on a board under the 7/11 and Slice pizza signs in west end (near police station).
