I Spy Another VIET
To see it properly you need to be about 2 metres higher than where I was standing when I took this shot... but you can more or less see it: the letters "VIET" stylized in four images.
Yesterday I said I'd seen the Viet graffiti tag around West End but I realised when I went looking that this was the only one and it's not really a tag (the other one was a big spray-painted "Vietnam"). I'm wondering if that "2010 Still Vietnow" is relevant? Vietnow is a rap song by Rage Against The Machine that's about 15 years old with an anti right-wing sentiment. Maybe it ties in with the Occupy movement? Vietnow is also a Vietnam Vets' group. Surely they'd be getting a bit long in the tooth for all this sort of thing? Maybe not... who knows?
If I see any more interesting Viets around the place, I'll stick them up here for you to check out.

All very mysterious. I hope you solve the conundrum.
All very interesting Cara.
Your shot features 2 of my favourite old school places in West End, the old fruit and veg on Vulture and Huongs Chinese/viet restaurant, many great nights spent their!
Ooo I love chases like this. The two you have shown thus far have been so totally different. There is flair and design in these, whereas the 'Occupy' movement did not, to me, seem to be strong on that. Yes, please, more when you stumble upon them.
one across from goma where their hotel/motel sign is - scrabble letters glued down
Thanks Yob - I have that one already (see previous day) but if you spot any more please let me know
This street artist seems to be good at what he or she is doing.
This is a comment on an old post but there is also a viet tag made out of scalectrix slot car track stuck behind a sign near archive.
Thanks - I haven't noticed that one. I must get around to posting a few more of them before they go. As you can see I haven't posted in ages!
