It'll be our longest day soon and then the sun will head north so we can only sing that song for a couple more days.

(Little darling) It's been a long, dark year for this side of the bridge since the floods so it's really satisfying to see the little lighthouses back up and running again. This slide will be on view until tomorrow night. Then on Wednesday we've got two weeks of Ian de Gruchy - that's one week of Poinsettias and one week of Wattles. The projections start at dusk and go for about 5 hours.

Cara I meant to ask you - is there any corporate advertising included in the projection on the bridge? I mean a few minutes or seconds where the name of the sponsor is projected on the bridge? I'm pretty sure the answer is no but just thought I'd check. For the first time this year our city council started running a similar projection on one of our buildings for Xmas. It's a 10 mn animation movie (dreadfully done if you ask me, nothing artistic about it)which runs continuously from 7 to 11 pm each night and each movie finishes with about 45 seconds of advertising. All in all the adverts get an amazing coverage time, which I think is a disgrace.
Hi Nathalie - as far as I know there aren't any sponsorships projected onto this bridge. It's run by The Museum of Brisbane who don't even properly advertise the fact that the projections are happening! I have to email them to get information about when the projections are happening, for how long, who the artists are etc.
I hear you with the adverts, though. A few years ago the big ferris wheel on the south bank of the river here decided to stick a huge Channel 7 logo right in the middle of it so I've stopped taking pictures of it.

I don't know... I haven't walked down that way recently. I thought it was just part of the "City Of Lights" festival. Next time I'm there I'll check it out. It would be good during the fireworks at New Year.
