A Woolly Blanket For The Moon

As a native of more temperate climes, I had to laugh when I went to see comedian Bill Bailey at the weekend and he said that it was almost like the people of Brisbane were mocking him by wearing winter coats in 20 degree heat. After five years here, I have now become one of these softies. It's not the 20 degrees that is cold, it's when you get into the shade and lose 10 degrees instantly... really! If there are any Canadians or Outer Mongolians reading this and rolling their eyes: I don't blame you. Wimps, the lot of us.
Anyway. The nights have been in single figures recently... and the moon definitely needs its woolly cloud blanket.

This post was proudly brought to you by Skywatch Friday.

You are not alone! There are more wimps in my Melbourne! But maybe we are a tad cooler with 14 degrees as our top for good winter days. We have been worse though!

Love your sky with scudding clouds over the moon! Very romantic!

I love that cloud blanket!! And if you want some of our heat, you are welcome to it! We have been running the air conditioner almost every day for nearly two weeks!

This is absolutely gorgeous! And quite unusual. Love it.

We needed woolly blankets too, recently, with beautiful but chilly days (14 deg max), and clear cold nights (2 deg).

What a great shot of that sky!
And coming from the wimpiest city in Canada, I'll try not to roll my eyes too much!

I love the woolly blanket! Makes me laugh too about the coats and scarf wearing in 20 degrees, but sometimes it just feels like 10 after being used to high thirties! Its been cooling down up here in Cairns over night, getting down to low 20s and I've been thinking about getting an electric blanket after moving here from Darwin - its so much colder here!! Have a great weekend :)

Here in BC I say anything in double digits is sun bathing weather. We grab those rays when we can. - Margy
