Traffic Stopping Art (number 46)

Welcome back to the Painted Traffic Signal Box series! It's hard to keep up. There are hundreds out there and I keep seeing ones I've photographed before that have been painted over. This one is on the corner of Main Street and River Terrace in Kangaroo Point. The artist is Jesse Breckon-Thomas.

I like these,they're fun. We have painted railway signal boxes I think they are but because I usually see them from the train have very few photos.

I always enjoy these painted boxes, they brighten up the streetscape. I think ours (Auckland) only get painted over if they fall victim to traffic accidents or maybe graffiti attacks.
