Straight after a storm, standing at the top of Mount Coot-tha you can see all sorts of skies happening simultaneously. This was looking south last week. If you had looked west, you would have seen a hazy orange sunset behind mountains while looking east were almighty black storm clouds over the city. And as you can see... straight above: blue sky with wispy white clouds! (I think north was a bland sort of twilight grey)

Looks like the mountains are on fire. Beautiful photo!
Awesome shot.
Gorgeous shot :)
I love the strip of landscape at the bottom.
It looks like there's fire glowing just behind the lower clouds. Amazing skies in your part of the world!
Happy Friday!

Nice capture. Fairly simple, but pleasing because of the colors and interesting clouds.
Great sky shot, wish you had posted the sunset and storm clouds as well instead of just wetting our appetite.
Good capture and wonderful colors.
Wow.. it's like a painting. You know, like running a brush on canvas. Beautiful!
I love it when the sky does stuff like this, and your shot captures it perfectly. Gorgeous.
These subtle tones are much harder to capture than the more contrasty scenes. Well done!
PS - you led me to Skywatch Friday & that's why i am also posting there now!

Terrific shot, Cara! Good on you!

What a great shot! , you have managed to capture three things in one photo ....
Gorgeous fantastic picture! I love the colors and the light in it.
Great skywatch shot!
Really beautiful clouds and a great capture
What a dramatic sky
Sheesh, so unfair... a mountain overlooking a city!
Wait, overlooking a city AND another mountain range!
It's sad that you can't find that ANYWHERE in the UK. But I'm happy that such photos exist, so at least I can imagine what it would be like :)
Lovely photos... keep it up!
And I'm glad my little... outfit... made your day a little better. I live to serve :)
