The Chicken Whisperer
After a morning greeting, a few words of encouragement and a friendly pat, Lily the chicken was gently shoved out of the way so that breakfast could be collected.
It still surprises me how many people in this city keep chickens.

So sweet - such a gentle chook!! at the Barossa Farmers Markets I noticed eggs being referred to as Hens Fruit.
That used to be the case in Sydney, too. But no longer, sadly. A licence is now required, and council inspects regularly, and neighbours complain loudly.
Soon we will not be allowed to grow our own vegetables because it encourages grubs!!
Gorgeous shot. Didn't know we needed a licence to keep chickens.
Bonita foto.-
