The William Jolly Bridge has two red lighthouses, one on either side of the river, built for the specific purpose of lighting the bridge with patterns at night (see one here and another here).
I think they're pretty nice to look at in their own right.

Permanently set up? Wuhoo ... and here we are banging on about Sydney's projections over the Christmas period.
I agree with you. The lighthouse (cute) is pretty noice in its own right. The previous projections were good to see, too.
I like this very much. The brooding sky is fantastic :-)
Now that's interesting. First time I've heard of lighthouses used this way. And you're right, it does look pretty cool.
