Yeah ... I like the F1.8 but you need the others in the rucksack too. I like to be able to get out to 18mm to get the clouds above me. Or zoom out to 250 to see what that bloke on the balcony is doing .. etc.
Those flies are a beaut colour. I would call them blowies but I would not think that many males flies would hang out together.

We just saw the same thing today on our line - what's with the row of flies??
