Winter Shadows

This one was taken by my 6 year old. Chip off the old block!

I keep forgetting you are winter there. Really great tall shadows shot at the optimum moment.

Why not - start 'em young! A good photography teacher, indeed!

Long winter shadows
steal across the lawn, haunting
in their dark splendor.

Ah, well done by the six year old...gosh she is tall isn't she? Almost as tall as her mother?

Hope you are all planning to be at the Quilt Show at the Brookfield Showgrounds this afternoon...they are having live jazz outside in the afternoon 1-4pm ...light refreshments available, or bring a picnic lunch if you wish. Quilts to look at, quilts and crafty things to buy..that is if there are any left!

If that was winter in Iowa, the ground would be covered with snow...I'll take your winters any day...wanna trade???

Wow what a talented little 6 year old! That's a super shot!

Please don't trade away our glorious Brissy winters with Sweet Repose. I don't think I'd cope if we swapped for Iowa style winters. They sound harsh! ;D
