Sunday's sunset in Brisbane. It was one of those moments where my fella was doing the dishes and staring idly out of the window.. then he must have snapped out of his daydream as he noticed the sky and he was suddenly calling me. I was scrambling out the door trying to cram my feet into my shoes and shoving the battery that had been charging into the camera, hair all over the place and clothes completely disheveled. All this was of course of minor importance. My mind was set on getting to the corner so I could look west with an uninterrupted view and when I finally did, I was not disappointed. The colours were stunning in their saturation and their luminosity.
Check more fab skies out at Skywatch Friday and have a colourful and luminous weekend!

gorgeous
Beautiful Color and great texture in the clouds!
the sunsets of brisbane's "winter" is beautiful
And the clouds were still similar to those you showed us earlier this week. Lovely ...
BTW ... I like to hear the story behind shots ... makes fellow bloggers real.
Beautiful! Only a girl would think that she has to look good when she's TAKING a photo! :-) (Pardon my non-PC humour!)
I could have written this, if you throw in a kimono, but the blazing sky,no not here. One helluva an image.
Haven't seen a sunset like that for a while. Stunning.
Wow, it's amazing.
Thanks Cara. That one is great! How came I missed that one on Sunday? Very strange. Will have to go back and have a look through my photos...see what happened!
perfect!
Simply Gorgeous!
Technicolor!!
The colour is fantastic. Great photo.
Happy SWF.
Stunning! I had to laugh about your comment regarding your clothes and hair. The majority of the time, I catch myself looking down to make sure I'm wearing pants! LOL!
Fantastic - it looks as if the clouds had baked in the sky. I love how you had to run out for the picture all helter skelter.
Excellent photo Cara, you captured this sunset perfectly.
Wow, definitely peach Melba, what a sky!
Im thinking more along the lines of a peach daiquiri.... :P
WOW... that sunset is stunning !!
Love the vivid colours. Unfortunately, we only get sunsets like that when there are wildfires burning nearby..
You sound just like me ... the neighbours are getting used to me wandering around outside in my pyjamas or some other disheveled state, snapping photos..
I'm originally from New Zealand ...so it must be something to do with us downunder types... :-)
Beautiful - love the colours.
beautiful colors. have a great evening.
