One of the things I miss about living in Brisbane, is Council Kerbside Cleanup; a great exchange of generally semi useless stuff! but what fun! and such good will! Even the Council seems to approve.
Of course, in West End it seems to go on all the time anyway; stuff put out, stuff taken away.
What a community!
All kind of everything gets thrown away sometimes there are real treasures in the rubbish.
I wish we had this in England, I remember they did it in Germany when I was a student there 30 years ago, I think it was called Sperrmuell - I got some lovely chairs!! and other bits and bobs - very creative way of recycling!
