The Slab

Barely a year old, this is the new King George Square in all it's uninviting, concrete glory. In the middle of summer when people in the city need a break from the searing heat and maybe a bit of shade, they might want to avoid this place where temperatures get up to 50 degrees celcius. Ouch!

I don't know what they think of when they design these things. We have something similar right next to St Mary's Cathedral. Makes a terrific skateboard ramp but that's about all.
