Facade
When someone in Brisbane wants to knock an old house and build a new one in it's place, there are strict laws concerning how much of the old house you can get rid of... this is to preserve the character of Queensland's older architecture. A lot of the time the outer shell is kept and the inside renovated. In this case, they've only left the front facade and will probably build some sort of flats behind it. Which is going to look a bit bizarre...

Sydney - City and Suburbs
mad angle and nice colors! Mad Beaver! ha ha
very weird Cara...don't think I have seen it quite like this before...poor old house. Did they take the rest of it away on a truck...I love it when that happens..in the middle of the night usually...very slow progress, and noisy, and they have to have men going along raising the wires to get under them, and dismantling the road signs also...hasn't happened here for a while, well not for a couple of years or so...not many old homes left now here!
Oh dear... we really have ripped the character out of so many of our older suburbs.
