This is a statue of Konstantin Tsiolkovsky. He's sitting casually out the front of the Planetarium at the bottom of Mt. Coot-tha. He was a Russian rocket scientist who is credited with inspiring those who led Russia into space.I love his posture with hands in his pockets, gazing upwards.
