King George Square, looking up...
This is looking up at the Petrie Tableau sculpture in King George Square. The man with the horse is John Petrie as a young man, who went on to become Brisbane's first mayor, and in the background the clock tower of the recently evacuated Brisbane City Hall. Recently evacuated? yes. Crumbling structure in dire need of restoration. It's going to cost millions but I think worth it to bring such a prominent landmark back in everyday use. You can read all about King George Square right here courtesy of the brilliant blog Your Brisbane Past and Present.

Interesting that Petrie is shown as a young rousabout rather than an imposing community elder full of his own importance.
Interesting that the sky is gone!
We do have rather a lot of light available don't we, even on overcast days.
Our skies are either brilliant blue, or brilliant white!

It was a bit of a mistake over-exposing the sky like that! I quite like it though...Have been getting used to the "P" setting a bit too much lately so clicked into Manual yesterday with amusingly bad results.
Julie - now I'm going to have to Google him.
