Is it just coincidence that you posted this on the 70th anniversary of the bombing of Darwin by the Japanese in WW2? The city was largely destroyed and over 240 people were killed. A surprising number of current Australians aren't even aware that Australia was attacked during the war. I certainly didn't learn about it at school.
