Samford Stole Our Thunder! - Skywatch
This was the storm front that moved in from the south on Tuesday afternoon. It looked very ominous and there was a bit of battening down the hatches going on in our place (well... we closed some windows and congratulated ourselves for being inside). The wind blew, big raindrops splashed down and then... well then it just sort of petered out. We had a little bit of rain and a rumble of thunder and that was about it. Checking out the weather radar online, It appeared that the storm swerved northward towards Samford at the last minute. I suppose we've seen enough rain recently but even so I must admit to being a bit disappointed. What about my drama?!*

Don't you just hate it when all the drama and chaos fizzles!! It looks pretty impressive and you captured it well! Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful weekend.
Smiles
Photos of the clouds look threatening. Also it here so sometimes the storm and then nothing. Summer storms with us here in Europe, waiting to see. I like the photo. Greetings from Peter.
Stormy.
My Skywatch, please come and see.
Superb shot!! Never saw a sky quite like what you captured here. The leaning pole and power lines [usually unwanted] draw you down into the picture [good framing!]. Except for the foreground building, you almost have a monochrome [wonder what it would look like as a B & W image]. Great atmosphere!! Kudos!
I love the photo. I too was slightly miffed by the lack of epic storm. I was all snuggled up on the couch waiting for it, but it definitely fizzled!
ooh, I love this photo. nothing better than some drama from the skies. the best part is waiting for it to approach. sorry it was a letdown, but you've captured the potential splendidly. Happy SWF, and have a great weekend.
That looks very dramatic! But beutiful aswell.
Wow! What a sky! Great shot
Certainly looks like something is on the way. Very dramatic.
The great shades of grey in the sky contrast so good with the red roofs.
What a sky !!!
Greetings from France...
