La Bella Luna

Wednesday night's full moon in a clear sky over Brisbane. It's cropped from a much bigger photo which is why the detail isn't as good as I wanted it to be. I'm not sure about photographing the moon but I imagine my Nikon D40 with 200mm lens just wasn't fancy enough for the job.

I think it's a great photo, - lots of detail - your camera is definitely up to snuff and has a good operator.

Love this photo. I always have trouble with the moon. You've captured it beautifully. It was too cloudy for us up here in Cairns on Wednesday.

It should be good enough. I've used my 18-250 at 250 on a tripod with various long exposures and finally got a good result, although still fairly small in the frame.

That's interesting... this was hand-held and 1/600 of a second! Tripod next time.

This is definitely one photo that my pocket camera will never be able to take.
