Earth, Wind and Fire Skywatch

Wednesday's giant dust storm turned the midday sun into a pale yellow circle directly overhead... it was really odd!

Visit other skies from around the world posted today at Skywatch Friday.

I heard about that dust storm! Good catch! I thought at first it was a photo of the moon!

Hah ... I managed a couple a bit like this but mine WERE of the moon. It kept on peeking out from behind the melee. Quite engrossing really ...

Wow. That is odd. I suppose it is blowing away the top soil in one place and putting it down in another.

This is great. I wish I took a few more shots myself but I didn't want to risk staying out there too long. I have a couple on my blog today.

That's a very scary amount of dust. If one person has to step down further off the porch does that mean someone else won't get their door open?

I like your blog and will certainly be back.

Great shots, mine are not as dark orange, I spent all yesterday cleaning and now they say we might get another one on the weekend. It sure was eerie.

Amazing. Saw this on the news and can't believe what it must be like in person.
