Being a Friday, I am jumping on board the Skywatch Friday bandwagon.
Telephone and power lines criss-cross the sky in most of the populated areas of Australia. Brisbane residents have taken to decorating them with pairs of shoes. And it's not just smelly old trainers people throw up there - I've seen strappy high heels too!

I'm enjoying the blue sky of Brisbane myself...the hanging shoes is a bonus!
power lines are often the bane of photographers interfering with good views - it is said the shoes are sometimes put there by urban gangs to mark their territory.
I was in sheffield not so long ago and saw a similar thing, and was told that the shoes marked a drug dealer's patch...

I've featured shoes hanging from lines too, a few months ago - I think it's a worldwide phenomenon!
