William Jolly Bridge Projection

Last night's projection. More information on this one soon, hopefully!
For others, click on the WJB Projections label below.

Edit (18.5.10) The artist who did this slide, and 3 others this month, is Guan Wei, born in China and now resident in Sydney. The Museum of Brisbane says :

Guan Wei's work references cultural diversity, including Indigenous and colonial cultures. Through the recreation of oceans, islands and desert interiors, Guan Wei makes connections with subjects, such as navigation, exploration, searching for treasure, migration and the influence of and response to Globalisation.

Does that happen year round?

Oh, another new projection! I really like this idea and hope you continue to photograph as the projections change. It's very unusual and they're pretty too.

Jim, the lighthouses built to project onto the bridge are pretty permanent-looking structures. They were built at the end of last year and the projections, by different artists, happen from time to time. The Museum of Brisbane commission the artists and schedule the projections but getting the relevant info out of them (like what is it of and who is it by) is more difficult than you'd think. It's possible I will find out more about this one on Monday when the person who knows comes back from Sydney.

Thanks for that extra info Cara. I think it's a great idea to keep them there permanently and run the projections from time to time.
