Oh, I'm so happy I came across your site Cara. As an ex-West End resident, it's so refreshing to see the photo you posted today. Thank you. I need to come back from a visit soon.
Cheers
Kim

Hi cara, This si such a lovely photo - in the way that it reflects west end street life - nothing fancy just west end. I am an ex west end resident living in hong kong and I check your website every day now. I lived there my whole life and my family still lives there. Every day on the way to school I would walk through west end - I can see the bus at the bus stop and usually at this point I would be running down the street trying to grab it! Keep up the good work Cara, hope everything is working out for you with you flooded house.

That guy in the centre is the always well-dressed man who sits in the park on Riverside Drive and has a beer/eats his dinner with flowers in a jar decorating the table. He always waves when people walk past. I always thought he was homeless but maybe that was not a correct assumption.

Lauren - Yes of course! I hadn't noticed it was him. I have often thought about how great it would be to get a shot of him with his shopping trolley and jam jar of flowers. And maybe a shot of the Park Man sipping a glass of wine and reading the paper with his reading glasses.

E.E and P&S - thanks a lot! Huge praise. It's great when people can relate to the photos.

Hey, there's Bill! I did a post on him a while back. He offered me one of his beautiful paintings... a generous soul. We have beautiful folk here in West End. A-M xx
