Mirrored Skywatch

As part of the Brisbane Festival, they have erected this large Light Sphere at South Bank (see two days ago for another view) which is just fab. You could spend ages there checking out all the reflections... and you can see the sky from all sorts of angles.

For even more skyviews, visit Skywatch Friday.

  4. Wonderful reflections of a beautiful sky.
Brisbane was a beautiful place when I visited 30 years ago, and I'm sure it's just as beautiful now.

  13. According to our local rag - whoops - "The Beaudesert Times" - this mirror ball was built right here in Beaudesert using 360 convex mirrors imported from China; and at 5m wide it is 2m short of a "world" record but is mooted to be the largest in the Southern Hemisphere.

Beaudesert is very small country town about an hour's drive south of Brisbane.

    Hooray for us!

  16. Hi Joanna, I've been on night shifts for the past 7 nights which has been very frustrating but tomorrow night I'm planning to head down to the laser show and take a few pics. That's the plan anyway!
