The Next Generation
There's second generation Irish all over the place. I'm one of them - and so's this beautiful boy who I am proud to say I helped into this world (by screaming at his mother) about 16 months ago.
My maternal grandfather went off the the Great War from Ireland, was gassed and sent to hospital in England where he married a nurse and now I am still a little Irish. I bet his mother would love this great photo.
What a beautiful little boy! Happy St.Pat's day to you both.

ReplyDeleteIt was a long, hard labour and all she wanted to do at the business end in the delivery room was sleep so.... I made sure she didn't :-)
ReplyDeleteSo you'll know that Cara means "friend" in Irish. Happy St Pat's Day (belatedly) from a 1st generation Irishman!
ReplyDeleteHe's a real beauty! Handsome eyes and he has his two bottom front teeth.... reminds me of when our 3 daughters were that age!
