The Big Xpress Rebuild
Work has started on the rebuild of the local shop awning after a car crashed into it recently. The driver involved experienced the unfortunate "thong-caught-under-the-accelerator" phenomenom (footwear not underwear).
There's a rumour that's been going round for ever that says it's illegal to drive in thongs. Surely that would be "unAustralian" if ever there was such a thing.
One of my dad's first rules to me when learning to drive - never drive in thongs or barefoot! Shame he has passed - he would have enjoyed the evidence!
YEAH, they reinstated the Billy Tea signs!!! I thought they might "sell out" and sell them off to a vintage collector and put up normal sidings on the awning... restored my faith in humanity
Nice capture. Hope no one was seriously hurt.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you took the time to clarify which article of clothing. My imagination started to wander. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Never drive in thongs! I wonder if they'll put the phone booth back.

I know! Must get out there and get a snap now that it's all done up again.
