Pick 'n ' mix Skywatch

Straight after a storm, standing at the top of Mount Coot-tha you can see all sorts of skies happening simultaneously. This was looking south last week. If you had looked west, you would have seen a hazy orange sunset behind mountains while looking east were almighty black storm clouds over the city. And as you can see... straight above: blue sky with wispy white clouds! (I think north was a bland sort of twilight grey)

See more skies from around the world from the Skywatch Friday portal here.

  7. Nice capture. Fairly simple, but pleasing because of the colors and interesting clouds.

  12. These subtle tones are much harder to capture than the more contrasty scenes. Well done!

  17. Sheesh, so unfair... a mountain overlooking a city!

Wait, overlooking a city AND another mountain range!

It's sad that you can't find that ANYWHERE in the UK. But I'm happy that such photos exist, so at least I can imagine what it would be like :)

    Lovely photos... keep it up!

And I'm glad my little... outfit... made your day a little better. I live to serve :)
